Welcome to this edition of Learning Curve Audio. This episode is a co-production with the Ohio Learning Network.

In this episode I interview Dr. John Seely Brown. He is the author of several books including The Social Life of Information and his latest work The Only Sustainable Edge: Why Business Strategy Depends On Productive Friction And Dynamic Specialization. John Seely Brown is a leading thinker on living, learning and doing business in the digital age. He advocates a shift in educational strategy away from teaching students about subjects toward enculturating students into communities of learning for their discipline. Digital communication is central to this learning. John Seely Brown was a Keynote speaker at the recent Ohio Digital Commons for Education conference. I’ll provide a link to a recording of his talk when it becomes available. I caught up with John Seely Brown between sessions to record a brief interview.

Talkin' bout the NeXt Generation with Mark Taylor
Today's Podcast:Talkin' bout the NeXt Generation with Mark Taylor

Welcome to this edition of Learning Curve Audio. This episode is a co-production with the Ohio Learning Network.

In this episode I interview Dr. Mark Taylor, Director of Guidance Services at Arkansas State University. Mark is an advocate of Post-Modern Pedagogy to engage Generation Next, our students who are the product of the media saturated and consumer society we have raised them in. He says there is a serious mismatch between what they want and expect from school, and what we offer. Mark was a Keynote speaker at the recent Ohio Digital Commons for Education conference. I’ll provide a link to a recording of his talk when it becomes available. I caught up with Mark between sessions to record a brief interview.
